By accessing, browsing or using Wavuka Marketplace ("the website"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the site signifies your acceptance of any changes.

Wavuka Marketplace is an online automotive marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of vehicles, spare parts, and automotive accessories throughout Tanzania. We provide a digital marketplace that enables verified users to advertise, discover, and communicate directly regarding automotive transactions.

Our mission is to:

• Connect private individuals and commercial entities
• Simplify the search process to allow users to efficiently browse and discover specific automotive listings
• Facilitate direct communication between verified sellers and buyers
• Promote competition fairness

Users must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate information
• Comply with Tanzanian laws

Users (sellers & buyers) are required to register by creating an account. Wavuka may request email verification from users. Users are responsible for keeping login credentials secure.

Users agree that:

• Information provided is truthful
• Listings are accurate
• They legally own the vehicle or have the authority to sell it
• Listings do not violate any law
• They will not impersonate anyone

As a seller you must:

• Provide accurate descriptions of the vehicle's make, model, year, mileage, and physical condition
• Upload genuine photos of the vehicle being offered for sale. Stock photos, digitally altered images, or photos stolen from other listings are strictly prohibited.
• Disclose known defects in the listing notes — for example structural damage, accident history, etc.
• Remove or mark listings as sold within 24 hours
• Respond honestly to any questions from buyers regarding the vehicle
• Sell only legally owned vehicles or possess the legal right and authority to sell the vehicle
• Ensure all documents are authentic

We expect sellers to maintain the highest standards of honesty. However, as a buyer using this platform, you agree to the following responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicles before purchasing, either in person or by hiring a certified mechanic to assess its condition
• Verify ownership documents
• Ask questions before paying
• Conduct transactions safely — for example, using secure and traceable payment methods
• Comply with Tanzanian laws and regulations

Wavuka Marketplace does not process any payments through the website. Payment methods are agreed privately between buyers and sellers.

Wavuka Marketplace does not establish or enforce return, refund, or exchange policies. Return eligibility is determined solely by the individual seller. Buyers should discuss all return conditions with sellers before completing any transaction.

By submitting a review, you agree to comply with the following community standards:

• Reviews must reflect genuine experiences
• Fake reviews are not permitted
• Content that targets, bullies, threatens, or demeans any buyer or seller will not be tolerated
• Reviews must be written in professional language. The use of offensive, vulgar, hate-filled, or obscene language is forbidden.
• Wavuka may remove inappropriate reviews
• Once submitted, reviews become the intellectual property of Wavuka. They will remain visible on the platform to help guide future users, even if an account is closed.

The Wavuka logo, Wavuka name, website design, graphics, code, and trademarks belong to Wavuka. Users own the photos they upload but grant Wavuka permission to display them on the platform while listings remain active.

Wavuka provides direct communication links that redirect users to WhatsApp in order to communicate with sellers. We have no authority over the operations of WhatsApp, which has its own terms of service.

Wavuka does not:

• Own, inspect, purchase, or sell vehicles listed on the platform
• Act as a dealer
• Broker deals
• Guarantee sales
• Guarantee listings
• Guarantee successful transactions

Wavuka is not liable for fraud, payment disputes, failed transactions, or damages resulting from user interactions.

Users agree to protect Wavuka against claims arising from:

• Misuse of the website
• Unlawful listings
• Breach of these Terms
• Infringement of third-party rights

Wavuka may remove listings, suspend sellers, terminate accounts, and restrict access without notice for violations of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes will be resolved in Tanzanian courts unless otherwise required by law.
